The most popular type of thermal compound has been silver suspended in silicone grease for quite a while. A new thermal grease demonstrates a superior type of thermal compound using diamond. Purified synthetic diamond has a thermal conductivity of 2,000-2,500 W/mK compared to 406-429 W/mK for pure silver. Diamond’s five times better thermal conductivity compared to silver makes it a superior heat transfer material for cooling high performance CPUs.

Another nice advantage with diamond is that it is not electrically conductive. Silver based compounds will conduct electricity which makes a sloppy application of the compound a risk for shorting out your expensive hardware.

You can choose one or more hard drives in your computer:

Here is an example for the size change:

• You have 3 100GB hard drives:

1. For RAID 0, The system will show one 300GB hard drive.

2. For RAID 1: Because RAID 1 can only handle 2 hard drives, so you can only use RAID 1 for the first 2 hard drives and leave the 3rd hard drive independently. The system will show one 100GB hard drive for the RAID 1 and one 100GB normal hard drive.

3. For RAID 5: The system will show one 200GB hard drive.
