The most popular type of thermal compound has been silver suspended in silicone grease for quite a while. A new thermal grease demonstrates a superior type of thermal compound using diamond. Purified synthetic diamond has a thermal conductivity of 2,000-2,500 W/mK compared to 406-429 W/mK for pure silver. Diamond’s five times better thermal conductivity compared to silver makes it a superior heat transfer material for cooling high performance CPUs.

Another nice advantage with diamond is that it is not electrically conductive. Silver based compounds will conduct electricity which makes a sloppy application of the compound a risk for shorting out your expensive hardware.

What is MLK (Medialess Licence Kits)?

Medialess License Kits contain suite specific product keys which enable end customers to "unlock" either Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007, Basic 2007, Small Business 2007, or Professional 2007. These kits also contain licensing information for the end user. Once we have installed the software, we will include the MLK in the box with the new PC. The MLK does not contain any backup media.
